Shri Ganesh is the God of knowledge. He is the son of Shiva & Parvati. Kartikeya is his brother. Mouse is Ganesha’s mount. Ganesha likes Modakas to eat. Students pray to Shri Ganesha before starting their studies. He is also known as Vinayaka. He is famously known as The Remover Of Obstacles. So people worship him before starting any new work.

O’ Ganesha, the Great one who has a curved elephant trunk, a huge body and whose brilliance is equal to millions of Suns, may you always remove obstacles from all my endeavors.
