चलति एकेन पादेन तिष्ठति एकेन पण्डितः।
न असमीक्ष्य परं स्थानं पूर्वम् आयतनं त्यजेत्॥
calati ekena pādena tiṣṭhati ekena paṇḍitaḥ।
na asamīkṣya paraṃ sthānaṃ pūrvam āyatanaṃ tyajet॥
An intelligent person takes one leg forward and stands firmly on his other leg. This way, by taking one step at a time, he moves forward. He/she does not take the next step till they are sure about it.
ज्ञानी व्यक्ति एक पैर आगे डालता है और दूसरे पैर पर खड़ा रहता है। इसी तरह एक-एक पैर आगे बढ़ाके वह चलता है। चलने की आगेवाली जगह अच्छी तरह से बिना देखें, पहली जगह नहीं छोड़नी चाहिए।
