सम्पूर्णकुम्भो न करोति शब्दम् अर्धो घटो घोषमुपैति नूनम्।
विद्वान् कुलीनो न करोति गर्वं गुणैर्विहीनः बहु जल्पयन्ति॥
saṃpūrṇakumbho na karoti śabdam ardho ghaṭo ghoṣamupaiti nūnam।
vidvān kulīno na karoti garvam guṇairvihīnaḥ bahu jalpayanti॥
A completely filled pitcher does not make any sound. Whereas, a half-filled pitcher always makes sound. Likewise learned & noble people never pride on their achievements. Whereas, foolish people without good qualities or virtues boast about themselves.
