परस्परं प्रशंसन्ति-‘अहो रूपम्! अहो ध्वनिः!’॥
uṣṭrāṇāṃ hi vivāheṣu gardabhāḥ śāntipāṭhakāḥ।
parasparaṃ praśaṃsanti-‘aho rūpam! aho dhvaniḥ!’॥
In a camel’s marriage, donkeys were performing the rituals. Donkeys were praising camels as to how beautiful they are and the camels were praising the donkeys as to how nicely they were performing the rituals. The inference is that generally Idiots praise each other.
