नमन्ति फलिनो वृक्षाः नमन्ति गुणिनो जनाः।
शुष्क काष्ठश्च मूर्खश्च न नमन्ति कदाचन॥
namanti phalino vṛkṣāḥ namanti guṇino janāḥ।
śuṣka kāṣṭhaśca mūrkhaśca na namanti kadācana॥
(The branch of) A tree with lots of fruit bends down (towards the Earth). Virtuous people bow down (are polite), but a dry piece of wood does not bend nor does a foolish person.
