चतुरः काकः इति विषये संस्कृतभाषायां कथा।

एकः काकः आसीत्।
सः अतीव पिपासितः आसीत्।
सः कुत्रापि जलं न प्राप्नोत्।
सहसा सः एकं घटम् अपश्यत्।
परन्तु तस्मिन् घटे न्यूनं जलम् आसीत्।
सः चञ्च्वा तत् जलं पातुं न अशक्नोत्।
घटस्य समीपे शिलाखण्डानि आसन्।
तानि दृष्ट्वा सः उपायम् अचिन्तयत्।
सः तानि खण्डानि घटे अपातयत्।
तेन जलस्य स्तरः अवर्धत।
इदं कृत्वा काकः तस्य चञ्च्वा जलं पातुम् अशक्नोत्।
काकः जलं पीत्वा पिपासाम् अशमयत्।

कथायाः नीतिः –
यदि जीवने समस्या आगच्छति, तर्हि बुद्ध्या उपायः लभ्यते।

Story of Thirsty Crow

There was a crow.
It was very thirsty.
It couldn’t find water anywhere.
Suddenly it saw a pot.
But there was very little water in the pot.
It could not drink the water with its beak.
There were pebbles near the pot.
Seeing those, the crow thought of a solution.
It put the pebbles in the water.
Doing this raised the water level.
After this, the crow was able to drink the water with its beak.
The crow quenched its thirst by drinking the water.

Moral of the story:
If you face a problem in life, wisdom can provide a solution.

चतुर कौआ की कहानी

एक कौआ था।
वह बहुत प्यासा था।
उसे कहीं भी पानी नहीं मिल रहा था।
अचानक उसे एक घडा दिखाई दिया।
परन्तु उस घडे में कम पानी था।
वह चोंच से पानी नहीं पी सका।
घडे के पास कंकड थे।
उन्हें देखकर उसे एक उपाय सूझा।
उसने वह कंकड पानी में डाले।
उससे जल का स्तर बढ गया।
यह करने के बाद कौआ अपनी चोंच से पानी पी सका।
कौए ने जल पीकर अपनी प्यास बुझाई।

कहानी की नीति –
यदि जीवन में समस्या आती है, तो बुद्धि से उपाय मिलता है।
