परोपदेशे समये शिष्टाः सर्वे भवन्ति वै।
विस्मरन्तीह शिष्टत्वं स्वकार्ये समुपस्थिते॥
paropadeśe samaye śiṣṭāḥ sarve bhavanti vai।
vismarantīha śiṣṭatvaṃ svakārye samupasthite॥
Meaning in English
People behave politely while giving advice to others, but in a situation, where they have to do the same work, they conveniently forget the same advice.
भावार्थ
दूसरे व्यक्ति को उपदेश देते समय सभी लोग नम्र होते हैं और शिष्टाचार का पालन करते हैं। परंतु वही कार्य जब उन्हें करना होता हैं, तब सारा शिष्टाचार भूल जाते हैं।
