Dialogue writing on Rainy Day
Three friends, Shridhar, Shrinivas and Uma are looking at the sky during the rain and are discussing it.
Shridhar: Friends, it is raining so heavily outside!
Uma: Yes, there are great black clouds in the sky. I am a bit frightened of them.
Shrinivas: Uma, there is no reason to be frightened. Let’s all go outside to play.
Shridhar: Okay. Mother! We are going outside to play in the rain.
The friends go to the playground and play.
Shridhar: Everything is looking so pleasant in the rain. The trees, too, are looking beautiful.
Uma: True. After coming here, I don’t have fear, but rather I am very happy.
Shrinivas: The rain has increased nature’s beauty. Friends, should we play now?
Shridhar and Uma: Yes, let’s play football.
The children play football enthusiastically. After a while, they take a break.
Shrinivas: Look there, friends! A small stream has started flowing because of the rain.
Shridhar: A small boat should be able to float on the stream. Should we try it out?
Uma: Wait, I will make a small paper boat and bring it here.
Uma goes home and makes a paper boat. When she comes back, a rainbow is there in the sky.
Uma: Friends, here is the paper boat. I am placing it on the stream now.
The paper boat floats along slowly on the stream.
Shridhar: Friends, look at the sky! A rainbow is there.
Uma: The rainbow has many beautiful colours. It is very beautiful.
Shridhar’s Mother: Children, now come back home. You may fall sick if you keep playing in the rain.
Shridhar: Friends, let’s go home. We will play in the rain again some other time.
