श्रीगणेशः इति विषये संस्कृते निबन्धः।
श्रीगणेशः शिवपार्वत्योः पुत्रः। कार्तिकेयः तस्य भ्राता।
श्रीगणेशः विद्यायाः देवः। श्रीगणेशः छात्रेभ्यः ज्ञानं यच्छति। श्रीगणेशः छात्रप्रियदेवः अस्ति। छात्राः विद्यारम्भे गणपतिं प्रणमन्ति।
श्रीगणेशस्य वाहनं मूषकः। श्रीगणेशस्य मुखं गजस्य मुखम् इव वर्तते। अतः सः गजमुखः तथा च गजाननः इति नामभ्यां विख्यातः। सः विनायकः, लम्बोदरः इति नामभ्याम् अपि प्रसिद्धः।
विघ्नहर्ता इति तस्य ख्यातिः। तस्मै मोदकमिष्टान्नं रोचते। दूर्वाङ्कुराः तथा च रक्तवर्णकुसुमानि तस्य प्रियवस्तूनि सन्ति। ग्रामे-ग्रामे नगरे-नगरे च श्रीगणेशस्य मन्दिराणि सन्ति। भाद्रपदमासे शुक्लपक्षे चतुर्थदिनात् गणेशोत्सवः प्रारभते। सः खलु विद्यादाता वैभवदाता च।
श्रीगणेशः मम प्रियः देवः। कार्यारम्भे जनाः श्रीगणेशं प्रार्थयन्ते।
वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सूर्यकोटि-समप्रभ।
निर्विघ्नं कुरु मे देव सर्वकार्येषु सर्वदा॥
Essay on Shri Ganesha
Shri Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Kartikeya is his brother.
Shri Ganesha is the God of Knowledge. He blesses the students with knowledge. Shri Ganesha is the favourite God of students. Students pray to Lord Ganesha before starting their studies.
The mouse is Shri Ganesha’s mount. Shri Ganesha has an elephant’s head. This is why he is also known as Gajamukha and Gajanana. He is also known as Vinayaka, Lambodara, etc.
He is famously known as the remover of obstacles. Shri Ganesha likes to eat modakas (a kind of sweet). Durva grass and red flowers are his favourite. The temples of Shri Ganesha can be seen everywhere. The festival of Shri Ganesha began from the fourth day of the Shuklapaksha in the month of Bhadrapada. He is truly the giver of knowledge and prosperity.
Shri Ganesha is my favourite God. People pray to him before starting any new work.
O’ Ganesha, the Great one who has a curved elephant trunk, a huge body and whose brilliance is equal to millions of Suns, may you always remove obstacles from all my endeavours.

श्रीगणेश शिवपार्वती के पुत्र हैं। कार्तिकेय उनके भ्राता है।
श्रीगणेश विद्या की देवता हैं। वे विद्यार्थियों को ज्ञान देते हैं। श्रीगणेश विद्यार्थी प्रिय देवता हैं। विद्यार्थी पढ़ाई के पहले गणेशजी की प्रार्थना करते हैं।
मूषक गणेशजी का वाहन है। श्रीगणेश का मुख हाथी के मुख जैसा है। इसलिए वे गजमुख और गजानन इन नामों से प्रसिद्ध हैं। वे विनायक और लम्बोदर इन नामों से भी प्रसिद्ध हैं।
उन्हें विघ्नहर्ता इस नाम से भी सम्बोधित किया जाता है। उनको मोदक अच्छे लगते हैं। दूर्वा और लाल रंग के फूल उनको प्रिय है। गाँव-गाँव शहर-शहर में गणेशजी के मंदिर होते हैं। भाद्रपद मास के शुक्लपक्ष में चतुर्थ दिन से गणेशोत्सव का प्रारम्भ होता हैं। गणेशजी सच में विद्यादाता और वैभवदाता हैं।
श्रीगणेश मेरे प्रिय देव हैं। लोग कोई भी कार्य का आरम्भ उनकी प्रार्थना से करते हैं।
हे ईश्वर, हाथी के जैसे विशालकाय, (जिसका) तेज सूर्य की सहस्र किरणों के समान है, मेरे सर्व कार्य बिना विघ्न के पूर्ण हो, (ऐसी प्रार्थना करता हूँ)।
