City - नगरम्
In Sanskrit, City is known as नगरम् (Nagaram) and in Hindi it is known as शहर.
Another word or Synonym for नगरम् (nagaram) in Sanskrit is पुरम् (Puram). These can be used as given in the following sentence.
मुम्बईनगरं प्रसिद्धं नगरम् अस्ति। (mumbaīnagaraṃ prasiddhaṃ nagaram asti।) – which means “Mumbai city is a famous city”.
House - गृहम्
In Sanskrit, a House is known as गृहम् (Gṛham) and in Hindi it is known as either of the following: मकान, घर, सदन.
Another word or Synonym for गृहम् (gṛham) in Sanskrit is सदनम् (sadanam). These can be used as given in the following sentence.
मम गृहं विशालम् अस्ति। (mama gṛhaṃ viśālam asti।) – which means “My house is big”.
Road - मार्गः
In Sanskrit, Road is known as मार्गः (mārgaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as either रास्ता or पथ.
Another word or Synonym for मार्गः (mārgaḥ) in Sanskrit is वर्त्म (vartma). These can be used as given in the following sentence.
मम गृहं पुरतः लघुः मार्गः अस्ति। (mama gṛhaṃ purataḥ laghuḥ mārgaḥ asti।) – which means “There is a small road in front of my house”.
Dirt Road - मृण्मार्गः
In Sanskrit, Dirt road is known as मृण्मार्गः (mṛṇmārgaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as कच्ची सड़क. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
ग्रामे मृण्मार्गः अस्ति। (grāme mṛṇmārgaḥ asti।) – which means “There is a dirt road in the village”.
Village - ग्रामः
In Sanskrit, Village is known as ग्रामः (grāmaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as गाँव. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
मम ग्रामः सुन्दरः अस्ति। (mama grāmaḥ sundaraḥ asti।) – which means “My village is beautiful”.
Palace - प्रासादः
In Sanskrit, Palace is known as प्रासादः (prāsādaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as महल. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
नृपस्य प्रासादः विशालः अस्ति। (nṛpasya prāsādaḥ viśālaḥ asti।) – which means “The King’s Palace is big”.
Highway - राजमार्गः
In Sanskrit, Highway is known as राजमार्गः (rājamārgaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as राजमार्ग. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
ग्रामस्य समीपे राजमार्गः अस्ति। (grāmasya samīpe rājamārgaḥ asti।) – which means “There is a highway near my village”.
Tar Road - दृढमार्गः
In Sanskrit, Tar Road is known as दृढमार्गः (dṛḍhamārgaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as पक्की सड़क. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
मम ग्रामे दृढमार्गः न अस्ति। (mama grāme dṛḍhamārgaḥ na asti।) – which means “There is no tar-road in my village”.
Lane - वीथिका
In Sanskrit, a Lane is known as वीथिका (vīthikā) and in Hindi it is known as गली. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
मम गृहस्य समीपे लघुः वीथिका अस्ति। (mama gṛhasya samīpe laghuḥ vīthikā asti।) – which means “There is a small lane near my house”.
Guest House - पथिकालयः
In Sanskrit, Guest House is known as पथिकालयः (pathikālayaḥ) and in Hindi it is known as अतिथि गृह. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
ग्रामात् बहिः पथिकालयः अस्ति। (grāmāt bahiḥ pathikālayaḥ asti।) – which means “The guest house is outside the village”.
Cottage - कुटी
In Sanskrit, a Cottage is known as कुटी (kuṭī) and in Hindi it is known as कुटिया. It can be used as given in the following sentence.
