Essay on Crow

The crow is a well-known bird. It lives in trees.

The crow is black in colour. Its colour is its speciality. Its two wings are black. Its eyes are also black. The colour of its beak is also black.

The hoarse voice of the crow is another one of its specialities. The crow and the cuckoo are the same in colour. The difference between them is their voice. The cuckoo sings beautifully in spring. At that time, the true form of the crow is revealed.

The crow eats both plants and animals. It is an omnivore. Sometimes, it eats leaves. Sometimes, it eats small animals, too.

People believe that a guest will arrive at their home if they see a crow. The crow also holds an important place in religion. During the last rites of a funeral, when the crow eats the Pindas (balls of rice meant for the dead), it is believed that the soul will attain peace in the afterlife.

The black crow is truly a unique bird.
